Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadville

Available: iOS, Android, and PC (not free; a game where you have to buy it, but no IAPs - currently NZ$7.99 on Android (probably about US$5)

Brought to you by: Octavia Blue

Rebuild 3 is a strategy game set after the zombie apocalypse. Think Civilization meets The Walking Dead.

Shortly before I started playing World Zombination, I found and played through Rebuild mobile on iOS (basically Rebuild 2). I really liked it and played it through several times to get all the endings.

Rebuild 3 is a bigger, better, and slightly more complex game. It won't be your WZ replacement as it is a single player game (so no guilds etc), but if you like strategy games, it is worth getting. (I have the PC version, which I got as part of a Humble Bundle. I am pretty sure I got the Rebuild 2 mobile version on a half-price sale at some point, so keep your eyes open for a sale).

Lead a motley crew of survivors to rebuild a community

What do I like best about it?
The units, narrative/storyline and humour, and the game mechanics. It's a good solid strategy game.

Are there any similaraties to WZ?
While the gameplay is different, and it is a single-player game, there are some similarities to WZ. The first is, of course, zombies. Sadly you can't *be* zombies, but there are zombies everywhere plus a faction of zombies you can become allies with during the game.
The Rotten are a group of Zombies you can ally with - or annihilate

The other big similarity is the individuality each unit has. Units can be trained in different disciplines - as soldiers, scavengers, builders, leaders, or engineers. You can also equip them with an item and/or a weapon and choose perks for them as the level up. (The ability to give units perks is uncovered through research - another similarity to WZ). You can even rename units after your friends!

You too can make a nerdy Cavy if you wish.

Vital Stats:
Guilds: No
Chat: No
Zombies:  Bucketloads

Description from Developers:

It's been a few years since the zombpocalypse turned the world's cities into graveyards and sent the few survivors into hiding. Now you must gather them up and restore civilization to a ruined city, one building at a time.

Rebuild 3 is a strategy sim game with a good helping of narrative and dark humor. It's a thoughtful game that'll make you fond of your survivors before you send them to their deaths for the greater good. As you expand your fort to new buildings, you'll decide between farms or fortifications, housing or hospitals, and make tough decisions to fend off raiders, illness, starvation, and madness. And the dead are still out there wandering the streets, hungrier than ever.

This sequel to the "unputdownable" Rebuild Mobile (aka Rebuild 2) is much MUCH bigger. Just check out these features:

- 4X style strategy and city (re)building
- Endless replayability with randomized cities and events
- Survivors with individual skills, perks, relationships, and stories
- Rival NPC forts with their own agendas, friendly or otherwise
- Campaign Mode, a journey through cities of increasing size and difficulty
- Strategic fort defense and interactive attacks
- Play in either real-time or turn-based mode
- 5 skills: defense, leadership, scavenging, building, engineering
- 10 resources and one-use items to find or craft
- 30 missions: scavenge for food, kill zombies, farm, fish, trade, bartend...
- 35 node research tree
- 50 building types with unique uses and/or scavengeable resources
- 70 types of equipment to find
- 100 survivor perks: Melee Training, Green Thumb, Light Sleeper...
- 200,000 words of event text - enough to fill two novels

Stream Legends

Available on: as an extension on Twitch channels from here  (More about how to play soon) Brought to you by: Gordon Stream Legends is from Proletariat (yes, really this time !), the developers of World Zombination. Stream Legends is a mini-RPG that can be played while watching a twitch channel. Channel viewers can fight monsters, collect loot and level up their characters and viewers can work together to build a town for the channel. Stream Legends requires the channel owner to install the Stream Legends extension. Some quick questions with Gordon: What do you like best about Stream Legends? My favorite thing about playing StreamLegends is just being able to scratch that progression and character development itch while I’m at work…haha. Also that it can be played even when a broadcaster isn’t online—there was a big channel grinding away yesterday even when the broadcaster hadn’t been streaming for 10+ hours. As a dev, I really like how there are super unique guilds (beca

War Dragons by Pocket Gems

Available: iOS and Android Brought to you by: Papillon and DixieDog The aim of War Dragons is to breed and increase the strength of your dragons, build and strengthen your lands, and increase your teams rank. There are frequent events you can play with your team to increase your team's rank prize and to collect the sigils sigl that are needed to get a Season Dragon. Season Dragons change each season and are only available during a particular season. The graphics are really detailed and smooth, controls are easy and intuitive and the game is played in "real time". PvP is also real time so you can defend yourself or your team mates against attackers. Quick Questions with Papillon and DixieDog: What do you like best about War Dragons? Papillon: The best thing about War Dragons for me is the that the Team and Global chat have the same feel and banter as the chat in WZ. In team chat you can tag players so they get a notification of joining a war with you or that

Madden NFL Football

Available: iOS and Android Brought to you by: Last Madden is a game based around football, in a nutshell you build a team, compete in live events and sets, and have fun in leagues. Quick questions with Last: What do you like best about Madden NFL Football? My favorite part about the game has to be the auction house,. If you take a little bit of time to study it, you can find easy ways on how to invest your coins (in game currency and make more coins, kind of like a stock market, but with players! Are there any similarities to WZ? It has a league, league chat, and league tournaments. It has Head2Head, which is similar to PvP in WZ and it has daily goals/rewards as well. You can also level your players up, like you can in WZ. Gameplay pic I stole from someone else's webpage Vital stats: Guilds: Yes, called leagues. While I don't have one for WZ players yet, I am sure we could make one if people start to get into it. Chat: Yes Zombies: No Description
